Meet Adam Avery, Farmington Community Chest Board Member

The Farmington Community Chest is pleased to welcome Adam Avery as the newest member of our Board of Directors.

A lifelong Farmington Valley resident, Adam was born and raised in Burlington, Connecticut, where he still lives with his wife and young daughter. He has worked in Farmington for the past seven years and has built strong connections throughout the community, both personally and professionally.

As an Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager with M&T Bank, Adam has built his career around helping individuals, families, and businesses achieve their financial goals. That same commitment to helping others extends beyond his professional life and into his community involvement.

“I am passionate about being involved and supporting the communities that I work and live in,” Adam said.

Adam also serves as Treasurer of the Board for H.O.P.E. Partners of Farmington, a local nonprofit that helps residents access essential services and support. It was through his involvement with H.O.P.E. Partners that he first became familiar with the Farmington Community Chest.

“Last year, FCC provided a grant to H.O.P.E. Partners, so I took some time to get a better understanding of the organization,” Adam explained. “I saw all the wonderful things that FCC supports in the community.”

Already familiar with several FCC board members through his professional relationships, Adam welcomed the opportunity to become more involved.

He is particularly passionate about the Community Chest's support of organizations like H.O.P.E. Partners, the Farmington Food Pantry, and Farmington Youth Services.

“It is important to me to provide support to members of the community and raise our youth for a better tomorrow,” Adam said. He also looks forward to supporting FCC's fundraising efforts, which bring neighbors together while raising money for important local programs.

Adam earned his Bachelor of Science in Management from Central Connecticut State University and has been recognized as a Central Connecticut Chamber of Commerce Emerging Leader and a recipient of M&T Bank Business Excellence Awards.

Outside of work and volunteering, Adam enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, following sports, fishing, trying new recipes in the kitchen, and reading a good book.

We're grateful to welcome Adam to the Farmington Community Chest Board and look forward to the enthusiasm, experience, and commitment to community he brings to our organization.
