Meet Dave Sutkaitis, Farmington Community Chest Treasurer & Board Member

The Farmington Community Chest is pleased to welcome Dave Sutkaitis as our new Treasurer and a member of our Board of Directors.

Dave is a Financial Advisor with Retirement Visions, which recently moved its practice from West Hartford to Farmington. While the move brought Dave back to town less than a year ago, his connection to Farmington goes back much further. His practice was previously located here for five years, and when his children were younger, his family spent plenty of time in town as members of Winding Trails.

“Farmington is a great town with a rich history and beauty all throughout,” Dave said.

A strong believer in giving back, Dave volunteers through his church and other organizations and also serves as a ski and downhill mountain bike patroller. That commitment to helping others is what drew him to the Farmington Community Chest and its wide range of work throughout town.

“I love the fact that we help the community in so many ways, from fun events to helping create meaningful change in someone’s life,” Dave said. “We have all had a helping hand of some kind at some point in our lives. I want to be that help for others.”

He is particularly passionate about FCC’s support of the Veterans OASIS program at CT State Community College Tunxis. With a father who served in the Marine Corps and a father-in-law who served in the Navy, supporting veterans has a personal significance for Dave.

“Veterans have a special place in my heart for their sacrifice that allows me to live and help others freely,” he said.

Dave also brings more than two decades of experience in financial planning to his role as FCC Treasurer. An Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), he currently works as a Financial Advisor at Retirement Visions and previously operated an independent practice and served as president of the Hartford chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

Outside of work and volunteering, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, downhill mountain biking and skiing.

We’re grateful to welcome Dave to the Farmington Community Chest and look forward to the experience, energy and commitment to community he brings to his roles as Treasurer and Board member.
